| A Nice Dunphy 19' from a For Sale ad located in Alabama
Any Idea who the owner was? This one looks like it could be a "Blue Water" Series which is the 2nd largest of the line. Distinguishing marks are the deck hatch which it shared with the "Senior Wayfarer" - another 19' boat but the Wayfarer had a distinctively higher deck with a curve in the gunwales just behind the side window. The raised deck was necessary because it had an optional fold down sleeper benches and a "head" for the serious camping boater. In true cabin cruiser fashion the Wayfarer also had a wooden ships wheel. The Voyager also had a deck hatch but was only 17'. Monday

I recently acquired this 1959 catalog on ebay. This
apparently was the first year of the lapstrake models. I also have two full page ads from the same era for the Explorer and Wayfarer series! Will publish them later. |
